Kickstarting a year of Pridelines programming with even more networking events and professional development opportunities, we are excited to introduce a new partnership to the Pridelines network with the Out in Tech chapter in Miami.
Out in Tech is a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing LGBTQ+ representation in the tech industry while providing opportunities for professional growth, networking, and skill-building to help members succeed. This collaboration brings an exciting addition to our programming, fostering a stronger sense of community among LGBTQ+ individuals pursuing careers in technology.
With our first event, we saw an impressive turnout of 20 individuals who are either working in or interested in the tech industry come together to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships. The event welcomed a diverse range of participants, spanning multiple generations and professional levels—from high school and college students just beginning their journey to young professionals and seasoned industry experts. Throughout the evening, attendees engaged in dynamic conversations, exchanged insights, and took advantage of the opportunity to learn from an inspiring panel discussion featuring accomplished professionals from different fields within the tech industry.
Our panel discussion featured Alie Gonzalez, a creative technologist and co-founder of hello_miami, Kaishon Holloway, a motivational speaker and author of Kaipolar Diaries, and Adrian Calderon, CTO & Co-founder of Blue Saturn. By bringing together these diverse, accomplished professionals, we were able to explore a range of perspectives on navigating the tech industry, overcoming challenges, and leveraging authenticity as a powerful tool for professional growth and success.
Their stories and insights provided valuable guidance to attendees, offering inspiration and practical advice on how to thrive in this competitive and ever-evolving field.
