Pridelines Awarded Microgrant from National Black Justice Coalition in Support of LGBTQ+/SGL Youth

Miami, FL, Dec 5th, 2024 — Pridelines, Miami's leading LGBTQ+ community center, is proud to announce it has been awarded a $1,000 microgrant from the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) as part of their Benevolence campaign. This grant honors Pridelines' ongoing work in supporting Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer+, and same-gender loving (LGBTQ+/SGL) children, youth, and young adults.

The NBJC Benevolence campaign, commemorating the organization’s 21st anniversary, celebrates the importance of investing in organizations that uplift marginalized youth living at the intersection of race, gender, and sexual orientation. The microgrant is part of a broader initiative to highlight organizations providing critical services to LGBTQ+/SGL youth as they face unique challenges and barriers to accessing the support they need.

"We are honored to be recognized by the National Black Justice Coalition and to receive this generous microgrant," said Dr. Edward Summers, Executive Director and CEO of Pridelines.

This funding will directly support our mission to provide safe spaces, vital services, and empowerment opportunities for Black LGBTQ+/SGL youth in our community.

Pridelines will use the funds to enhance its youth programs, ensuring that young people have access to mental health support, housing services, leadership development, and peer mentorship. With the NBJC's support, Pridelines will continue to build inclusive environments where LGBTQ+/SGL youth can thrive.
