That’s why we are thrilled to introduce Mayda Bonilla-Oats, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, as our first on-site provider! With over 20 years of experience in the medical field and a deep commitment to patient-centered care, Mayda is bringing her expertise, compassion, and leadership to Pridelines.
A Passion for Service and Healthcare
Mayda’s journey in healthcare began in 2004 when she joined the United States Navy, serving as a Hospital Corpsman for eight years. During her time in service, she obtained multiple certifications, including Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assistant, Medical Secretary, and Nursing Assistant. Her military background instilled in her the discipline, leadership, and dedication that continue to define her approach to patient care.
Following her honorable discharge, Mayda transitioned to full-time studies at Miami Dade College and Florida International University, where she graduated with honors in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then gained extensive experience as an emergency room nurse, working in fast-paced, high-intensity settings that strengthened her clinical skills and deepened her understanding of urgent and primary care needs.
Her commitment to advancing healthcare led her to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Miami, where she successfully completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2024. Recognized for her academic excellence, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing.

Mayda’s philosophy of care is rooted in holistic, patient-centered treatment. She believes in empowering individuals with a thorough understanding of their medical needs while ensuring they receive the best possible care to improve their overall well-being. Her approach integrates her military experience, leadership skills, and clinical expertise to provide compassionate, high-quality care to those who need it most.
Bringing Expertise to Pridelines
As Pridelines’ first on-site provider, Mayda will play a crucial role in expanding our healthcare services, ensuring our community has access to inclusive, affirming, and high-quality medical care. Her extensive experience and dedication make her a perfect fit for our mission to serve and uplift South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.
When she’s not caring for patients, Mayda enjoys traveling, working out with Peloton, going to the beach, tailgating, and spending time with her family.
