Miami's LGBTQ Community Center

Spotlight

Pridelines started 2019 off with the generous help of the FIU LGBTQA Initiative, UM LGBTQ Student Center, and Aqua Foundation for Women who came to Pridelines for a day of service, and what a wonderful job they did. With a total of 38 FIU students, staff members, and community volunteers, the LGBTQA initiative came to help with a few hands-on tasks in and around the community center. The group cleared the back garden area, collecting and removing all trash, fallen fruit, and palm fronds from the ground, as well as swept and washed the back patio.

REACH (Remembering to Empower Ourselves to take Action in our Community and generate Hope for the future) is a SAMHSA-funded program at Pridelines that promotes sexual and mental health for young gay and bi men of color ages 17 to 24. REACH is coordinated by Williamson "Tboy" Bellot, our Peer Navigator, and a core group of young men who work with Tboy to plan activities.
